1. The service

Verdaic provides software that measures the energy use, utilisation and hardware health of your organisation's devices and turns it into sustainability insight and reporting. It comprises a device agent, a web portal, and these supporting services. You must be acting on behalf of a business or organisation to use Verdaic — it is not a consumer service.

2. Your account and your fleet

Keep your credentials secure and your user list current; you are responsible for activity under your workspace. Only install the agent on devices your organisation owns or manages and is entitled to monitor — where employee-representation rules apply (works councils and similar), obtaining any required approvals is your responsibility. The agent's collection categories are under your control, the full data schema is public, and each device exposes a local Data Inspector showing exactly what it sends.

3. Plans, billing and VAT

Lite is free. Paid plans are billed per device per month via Stripe; the quantity you license is your device quota and can be changed at any time (changes are pro-rated). Prices exclude VAT/IVA: Portuguese customers are charged IVA at the standard rate; EU businesses with a valid VAT number (validated against VIES) are subject to the reverse-charge mechanism; customers outside the EU are not charged VAT. If a free trial is offered, you can cancel before it ends without charge. You can cancel any time from the billing portal — the plan runs to the end of the paid period and does not renew. Where a VAT exemption could not be verified at purchase, we may correct the tax treatment and refund any difference.

4. Refunds

Beyond statutory rights and the pro-rating above, refunds are at our reasonable discretion — if something went wrong, tell us at hello@verdaic.com and we will put it right.

5. Your data

Your telemetry and reports are yours. We process personal data as described in the Privacy Policy; for employee data we act as your processor under a Data Processing Agreement (available on request). You can export or delete your organisation's data at any time. We may use aggregated, anonymised statistics (never identifying you or your people) to improve the product and its power models.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to breach the security of the service or other tenants, reverse-engineer the update signing, resell access without an agreement, or use the agent to monitor devices you have no right to monitor. We may suspend workspaces that put the platform or other customers at risk.

7. Availability and support

We target high availability but the service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees on self-serve plans (Enterprise SLAs are contracted separately). Agents buffer locally and backfill, so short outages do not lose telemetry. Support: hello@verdaic.com.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Energy, cost and CO₂e figures are measurements and good-faith estimates (each figure is tagged as which) — verify before relying on them for regulatory filings; the ESG pack documents the methodology to support that review.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice for material changes (posted here and emailed to workspace owners). These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory local rights.
